Web · Design · Mapping Application

DonneDon is a web application that helps people find where to donate clothing and household items in Québec. It brings together organizations, donation centres and collection bins in an interface designed around one priority: finding a place to give.

An application built around local search

Built with custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript, backed by PHP and a MySQL database, the application connects an interactive Leaflet and OpenStreetMap map to a directory of locations. Address or location search, filters and detailed listings help visitors find an option, check accepted donations and get directions.

Designed for mobile use first, the interface combines a clear layout with a yellow and orange visual identity. Visitors can suggest a location with a photo or a form, and submissions are reviewed before publication.

What this approach makes possible

Turning a directory into a practical service that is easy to explore and expand. This approach suits organizations, local networks and businesses that want to make places or services easier to find on a map, supported by structured data and public contributions.
